2022 Freestone Occidental Pinot Noir Six Bottle Case

Steep, raw and powerful, this hillside monopole vineyard sits mere miles from the cool Pacific Ocean, facing Bodega Bay in between the villages of Freestone and Occidental, where morning fog from the coast engulfs the vineyard. This 1.8-acre site is the oldest meter-by-meter planting of pinot noir on the Sonoma Coast, and due to its high density and steep slope, is farmed 100% by hand. This site presents our coolest and most exotic terroir.

Sun-warmed rose petals, wild strawberries, black cherries, and a rainy forest floor fill the bowl. This is followed by notes of muddled blackberry, thyme, pine branches and forni brown mushrooms transporting us to the Redwood forest that surrounds this site. On the palate, there is a beautiful ballet between red berries and dark fruit that is seamlessly intertwined with exotic spice box, zesty orange pith and crushed gravel, giving way to a seemingly everlasting finish.

2022 Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir Six Bottle Case

From the rugged and remote pockets of Fort Ross-Seaview, this 4.8-acre monopole vineyard represents our most elegant terroir. Vines sit atop an ancient sea bed, dating back 200 million years, soaring high above the sea at more than 1,000 feet in elevation. Mere miles from the sea, this is our highest elevation and most coastal site.

Delicate white rose petals, orange peel and crushed pomegranate are followed by freshly picked raspberries, wild strawberries, and white tea. Coastal wet rock, sea moss, ripe red berries and a kiss of salinity transport us to the sea that sits just beyond Sea Field. Floral and violet notes follow, with lingering hints of crushed wild strawberries, offering an incredibly long and vibrant finish.

2022 Fort Ross-Seaview Chardonnay Six Bottle Case

This hillside site in rugged Fort Ross-Seaview sits at 1,200 feet in elevation, only a couple of miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and just up the road from Sea Field. The vines, planted over 40 years ago, represent some of the oldest plantings of chardonnay on the coast. Sitting atop well-drained, rocky soils, the yields are naturally low, giving wines of incredible depth, concentration and minerality.

Aromas of fresh white and yellow flowers jump from the glass, followed by white nectarine, crunchy apricot and cool elderflower. Lime blossom and lemon zest are followed by just-ripe yellow peaches. Crushed seashells, wet rock, and a dash of sea salt transport us to the site where these vines are rooted, giving way to a depth of flavors and aromas that provide a racy yet elegant finish.

2021 Freestone Occidental Pinot Noir Six Bottle Case

Our Bodega vineyard is our coolest, most exotic site, situated directly behind Bodega Bay between the villages of Freestone and Occidental and within miles of the Pacific Ocean. Lower in elevation, Bodega is engulfed in refreshing, morning fog and constant coastal breezes. This 1.8 acre site is the oldest meter-by-meter planting of pinot noir on the Sonoma Coast. Due to its high density and steepness, this site is farmed 100% by hand.

Rose petals, wild strawberries, wild black plum, and crushed boysenberry fill the bowl. Chanterelles, thyme, and wild black berry aromas persist. On the palate a black fruit core is woven together with exotic spice, orange pith and notes of the surrounding forest in which the vines grew. Flavors of dark berries, forest floor and crushed gravel give way to a beautiful, long finish.

Our 4.8 Sea Field Vineyard (monopole) produces our most elegant wines year in and year out. Soaring 1,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean and less than 3 miles from its waters, Sea Field is both our most coastal and highest elevation pinot noir site. The combination of these elements creates Sea Field.

Delicate, lifted aromas of rose petals, orange pith, crushed pomegranate and raspberries, with the essence of where-the-forest-meets-the-ocean fill the bowl.  Wild strawberries, cool-coastal forest, wet rock, sea moss and blood orange linger. 2021 Fort Ross-Seaview Chardonnay Six Bottle Case

"A very powerful and structured chardonnay with phenolics that remind me of top grand cru Chablis. Dried apple, pineapple and lightly cooked pear. Hints of flint. Full-bodied yet agile and almost weightless. The length is so impressive. Just a baby."

Top 100 of the World (99 points) - James Suckling

This rocky, shy-yielding hillside site sits 2 miles from and 1,100 feet above the cold Pacific coastline of Fort Ross-Seaview. Firmly rooted in well-drained, fractured-rock soils, these vines, planted over forty years ago, are some of the oldest pre-phylloxera plantings of chardonnay along the Sonoma coastline. The well-drained hillside soils, cool climate, and exposure yield wines of natural concentration, minerality and depth.

On the nose the wine fills the bowl with fresh white flowers, citrus blossom, tart white nectarine and wet rock. Cool elderflower, lychee and crushed seashells linger. On the palate, lime blossom, lemon pith, and wet rock turn to crunchy peach and tart nectarine. The wine lingers with sea breeze, white flowers and a racy acidity leading into a vibrant, elegant and lengthy finish.

"Brothers Carlo and Dante Mondavi follow their brilliant 2014s with the equally captivating 2015s. In tasting, the RAEN Pinots convey the essence of site with tremendous depth and intensity, but no excess weight. Perhaps even more importantly, these are wines of real personality and breed. Don't miss them."  -Antonio Galloni

2022 Freestone Occidental Pinot Noir Magnum

2022 Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir Magnum

2022 Fort Ross Seaview Charles Ranch Chardonnay Magnum

2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Magnum

Our Royal St. Robert bottling is dedicated to our grandfather Robert, who has been our greatest teacher in our journey in wine. This special cuvée is a selection from our coastal vineyards, giving a window into the rugged hills of the westerly Sonoma Coast. Captivating aromas of crushed blackberries, just-ripe plum and sour black cherries fill the bowl.

Floral notes of fresh roses and black tea with bergamot follow, giving way to wet gravel and warm, sun-dried forest floor. The powerful red and black fruit core is delicately interlaced with these floral tea notes and it couples with exotic spice box, which seamlessly comes together in a persistently long, bright and youthful finish.

This bottling is dedicated to our grandmother Marjorie, who will always be a bright light of inspiration for us. An incredible woman, her hard work and steadfast determination led us to where we are today.

Born from the remote, rugged landscape of the Sonoma Coast, our second vintage release of our Lady MarjorieChardonnay hails from the rocky soils of Fort-Ross Seaview, resulting in a wine of incredible depth and vibrancy. White peach, crunchy nectarine, crushed wet gravel and white spring flowers jump from the glass. On the palate, these aromas are spliced with zesty lime blossom, stone fruits and fresh apricot, which integrates seamlessly with a backbone of mineral-laced acidity and subtle notes of salinity that all lead to a long, bright finish.
